Scott learning to kick a football.

Month of May Part II

As usual, hanging out together working hard with those tools.

Scott got a Curious George stuffed animal from his grandparents... and this is what he does with it! (It didn't help that everyone in the room was laughing hysterically and otherwise egging him on.)

Scott's new favorite passtime.

Looky what Blaise figured out... so fun to watch them think things through!

Boys must make sound effects... listen closely :)

Month of May Part I

Please ignore the pile of clean folded laundry... they were having such fun playing together, I had to abandon my chores to take pictures!

What fun Blaise has in this fire engine toy that some friends gave us. He even knows to push the button and turn on the siren and check out the skills turning the wheel!

And this is what we find to do at the Zoo. PS- The SC Zoo, in Columbia, is a great zoo! We'd love to go there again... thinking of possibly getting a membership :)

Visiting, Partying, and Walking

Visiting Great Grandma Jill and Aunt Annie... Aunt Annie had fun putting these jingle bells on Blaise and making music! They also played ball and chased Widget (the cat). And of course Grandma Jill got out some music boxes for Blaise to play with- and in so doing, showed him how to open the music box cabinet, oops.

They both loved the pool... we broke it out for Blaise's Birthday Party yesterday. Scott would not get out, nevermind that he was shaking so badly he could hardly stand up and his lips were purple. Blaise on the other hand, would not get in, because the water was cold. He wisely (you know a whole year's worth of wisdom here) decided the water was great to play with from the outside of the pool. Lots of background noise in this one, it was a party after all.

Drum Roll Please...

There he goes... though he's hard to catch on video, because he refuses to perform on cue. (This was probably the 6th time today that I went for the camera.)

Skills...

Could you do this successfully? It's amazing the things he thinks of to try these days!

Blaise has decided he does like to read and check out the skills for turning pages!

And playing with Legos. Amusing to watch, because Blaise just likes to take them off and throw them back into the bin, meanwhile Scott is perpetually trying to line them up and build a wall. Fun times.

Blaise and his Tongue

Just a short one of Blaise playing with his tongue... Cullen had informed him during dinner that he was not a Frog, but apparently, he still wasn't convinced.

Taking Turns

Scott got to ride first. And yes, impressive muscles on Blaise to be able to actually push his really BIG brother!

Then Blaise got a turn to ride too! And of course, Scott wanted another turn... back and forth... but it didn't last too long, because Blaise lost interest.

Marching Band

A fun way to spend a rainy Saturday morning. Scott is running, walking and marching all over the house playing his music. I think maybe Marching Band, rather than linebacker?

Busy Blaise

Okay, so I was doing a lot of moving around while trying to make this video. B gets frustrated if the push toy gets trapped against a door frame, wall, brother, whatever.

A relatively still movie, but he was having fun and he WAS in fact rocking.

I'm not sure this totally captures the intensity of this activity. The boy was incredibly focused and quite forceful in his hammering. (If you ever visit our house, you can look at the blocks, there's plenty of evidence as to how forcefully both boys hammer.)

Tag You're It

Scott loves to get down on his hands and knees and play chase with Blaise all over the house now. They both enjoy the distractions they encounter on the way... the door is closed, because they keep finding their way into our bathroom.
